I was born in Tarxien. My father was an engine fitter at the Drydocks and my mum a dedicated housewife and mother.I have two younger sisters.My childhood was a very happy one. We lived in a three storey old Paola house together with my grandma, grandpa, two young uncles and greataunt.
My parents were very keen that I continue school and go to university, but I wanted to be a nurse and started a nursing course on the 27 th of June 1977 when I was still 16 years.
Some years before,at 12 years I became a member of the Paola Pageant Group were I learned different skills and realized that I had other talents, one of which was make up artistry.I met Lina Galea Cumbo when I was just 13 years old. She was applying makeup on the main actor, who was playing Jesus.
Make up was there with me to stay.
